Since 2017, Headland Collective has been guided by a love and respect for the planet and those who inhabit it. We fuse this passion with unique creatives to tell compelling stories.

Headland, is a full-service, eco-conscious production company offering production and coordination of editorial and advertising photo shoots, short films, and digital content creation. We take every step possible to be environmentally friendly and to work with local creatives. Our collaborators and collective members can rest assured that the land and people involved in each venture will be treated with respect. We see preservation as an integral part of the creative process, building it seamlessly into each production while maintaining competitive rates. 

Founder

HEADLAND was founded by New York native Christopher Labzda. Christopher has over 20 years of experience in the commercial & fine art world both domestically and abroad. Prior to assembling the collective, Christopher helped spearhead the art scene of Manhattan's Lower East Side through his Forsyth Street Gallery: ToomerLabzda. As a purveyor of emerging talent, He went on to launch, direct, and lecture on the MA in Fashion Photography at the School of Visual Arts. Christopher co-founded and curated the New York Fashion Film Festival, expanding awareness of this evolving genre internationally. He has had the honor of lecturing on Art History and Theory at Universities, Institutions, and Collections including Pepperdine, Wingate, Florida Atlantic University, James Madison University, Syracuse University, Lawrence University, Tate Britain, Tate Modern, The Victoria and Albert Museum, The Photographers' Gallery UK, The Courtauld Institute of Art, the National Portrait Gallery UK, Pratt Institute, Parsons, and The Moscow Museum of Modern Art. Christopher earned his MFA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths University of London. When not on set or in his studio, you will most likely find him in the ocean.
